Have you been including Chiropractic care as part of your training regime?
New research into the effects of chiropractic care suggest that it may have an important role to play in maximising sporting performance, as well as aiding recovery from a range of conditions where muscle function has been compromised. A study published in the Experimental Brain Research journal showed an increase in electrical (nerve) activity of almost 60%, and a 16% increase in absolute force measurements after full spine adjustments.
Although further research has been recommended, imagine what kind of an edge an increase in performance could give you when training for your sport- whether it's mountain biking, skiing, weight lifting, or cycling.
The combination of improved sensory feedback and coordination from improved proprioceptive feedback with well-functioning joints may also help you with injury prevention. Of course, you can still get injured, but if your nervous system is able to communicate better with your body, and your response times are quicker, you may be able to avoid some cases of potential injury.
